About The Position

As part of Odyssey’s Growth team, the Business Development Manager for the Department of the Army identifies, qualifies, shapes, and maintains a funnel of new business opportunities and leads growth initiatives. This is a new market for Odyssey, so the role calls for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial self-starter who can help build an Army portfolio from scratch. The position requires a proactive approach and a deep understanding of the Department of the Army market. The BDM serves as a relationship holder with Army customers and conveys customer perspectives across Odyssey while communicating the company’s value to current and prospective customers. The BDM works closely with the Senior Business Development Manager – Army and five operational business group Executive Directors: Aviation, C2ISR, CCN2, Space and Missile Defense, and Life Sciences. The position reports directly to the Senior BDM – Army and is aligned under the Executive Director for BD and Capture. It is a full-time hybrid role, ideally based in an Army Acquisition concentration area (with Aberdeen, Maryland, the priority), the greater Washington, DC area, or near an Odyssey corporate office. Travel is 25–60%.
