D2B Groups•Hiawatha, IA
•$100,000 - $300,000

About The Position

Our client is a well-established Midwest power generation and energy services company that engineers, services, and monitors on-site generation and electrical infrastructure for critical facilities. It also enrolls customers’ backup generators in utility demand response programs, helping turn equipment that was previously a cost center into a source of revenue. Under new growth-focused leadership and private equity backing, the company is making its first dedicated sales hire. This person will build the sales pipeline and help shape the sales function, with a potential path to leading the team as it grows. The role sells the company’s full energy offering, including standby and prime generation, switchgear, battery storage, microgrids, and real-time monitoring, supported by an in-house engineering team. The position is based in Eastern Iowa and involves travel of 30–50% across Iowa and surrounding states. The role reports directly to the CEO. Compensation includes a strong base salary, uncapped commission on bookings and margin, and the possibility of a guaranteed commission draw during ramp-up. The stated goal is to earn $150,000–$300,000+.
