Business Development Manager, First-Party Partnerships - Mattel Digital Studio
About The Position
Mattel Digital Studios is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to take a key role in managing developer relations, first-party platform relations, and technology partnerships. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving value creation through identifying and securing new strategic partnerships and management of key existing partners. This position requires strong strategic thinking, creative problem solving, negotiation skills, partnership management, and direct experience in the mobile games’ ecosystem preferably at a publisher, developer, or platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about mobile games and has a strong understanding of mobile game publishing strategies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in mobile games ecosystem
- Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management with keen attention to detail
- Passion for gaming and understanding of global games market trends
- Proactive in identifying opportunities, curious, driven to rapidly iterate and make improvements
- Proficient quantitative and analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making
- Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Responsibilities
- Identify growth opportunities in the mobile games segment
- Drive partner success across Mattel Digital Studios
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with game developers, first party platforms, and technology partners supporting our publishing business
- Secure internal alignment on deal terms, scope, and commercial models
- Lead contract negotiations in coordination with executives and legal
- Develop compelling reports and presentations for key stakeholders
- Operate an active pipeline of leads aligned with Mattel’s digital portfolio strategy
