About The Position

Gartner’s Business Development Executive, Supply Chain & Procurement, Large Enterprise role is responsible for expanding Gartner’s presence by acquiring new clients. The role develops trust-based relationships with C-level executives, learns their mission-critical priorities, and identifies ways Gartner’s insights and services can deliver value. Business Development Executives own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through negotiation and closure, before transitioning new clients to the account management team for ongoing value delivery. The role manages a territory of Large Enterprise prospects, including organizations with no existing Gartner spend and prospects already working with other Gartner areas. In the GBS Large Enterprise segment, prospects have more than $1 billion in annual revenue. The position carries quota responsibility and involves managing complex, high-revenue sales across diverse, matrixed business environments. Gartner describes its work environment as hybrid, with flexibility to work virtually when productive and to meet with colleagues in person. Gartner offers opportunities to progress into more senior business development roles, account management, or sales leadership. Typical internal promotions include Business Development Director, Team Lead, and Sales Manager.
