About The Position

Gartner’s Business Development Executive will acquire new clients in a territory of Large Enterprise prospects, cultivating trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their mission-critical priorities and identify opportunities to deliver client value. The role targets organizations with more than $1 billion in annual revenue and may involve prospects with no existing Gartner spend or clients served by other Gartner areas. The executive owns the full sales cycle, from prospect identification and outreach through sales conversations, negotiation, and closing. After converting prospects into active Gartner clients, the executive transitions them to the account management team for ongoing value delivery. The role is accountable for territory quota, pipeline development, sales forecasting, and account planning, and involves managing complex, high-revenue sales across matrixed and diverse business environments. Gartner describes a promote-from-within culture with progression opportunities into senior business development roles, account management, or sales leadership. The position is offered in a hybrid work environment, with flexibility to work virtually when productive and gather with colleagues. Travel may be required as needed.
