About The Position

The Business Analyst serves as the IT Business Partner for Student Operations, with a primary focus on the registrar and clinical rotations and additional coverage of bursar and financial aid. The role is the primary point of contact between Student Operations and IT for technology needs and improvement initiatives. It develops a thorough understanding of functional operations and translates that knowledge into clear requirements, sound priorities, and initiatives with measurable outcomes. The Business Analyst coordinates appropriate IT expertise and keeps stakeholders informed from discovery through delivery. Development and System Administration own platforms and technical implementation; the Business Analyst owns business understanding, requirements, and process analysis. The role works with student operations teams and IT colleagues across Development, System Administration, Security, and Service Delivery. It follows the organization’s delivery framework for intake, requirements, prioritization, and change management. During the first 90 days, the Business Analyst is expected to learn the delivery framework and stakeholder priorities, begin leading status meetings and facilitating initiative discussions, and then independently carry initiatives from discovery through approved requirements and handoff to Development. The role should also deliver an initial improvement recommendation to the Director. The position is remote or distributed, with remote work available if more than 30 miles from a local campus or operations location, or as part of a distributed team. The typical schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional work outside normal hours for implementations, incidents, or releases. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required. The anticipated salary range is $100,000–$110,000 per year.
