About The Position

This is a 10-week internship program focused on smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure, where interns will rotate through various departments at their local branch office. The program aims to develop future talent for Siemens and help interns identify career interests within the organization post-graduation. Building Automation Systems manage and control building systems like lighting, HVAC, and security. The Building Automation Service Sales Team supports the Service Agreements business, with Sales Executives acting as ambassadors for Siemens technology, products, and services. Interns will work alongside Sales Managers and Executives, assisting with lead generation, sales presentations, CRM data management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. They will also analyze sales data, participate in team meetings, and gain experience in prospecting, go-to-market strategies, and B2B relationship building. The internship includes rotations through core business segments: Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security, and Energy/Sustainability Systems.

Requirements

  • Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-year U.S. college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing with a strong technical engineering aptitude.
  • Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August).
  • No relocation assistance or housing stipend is provided. Must be willing and able to work at the branch office location and surrounding local area.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship. This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT.

  • Participation in a school sponsored sales engineering club/organization, pursuing a professional sales certificate or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging Siemens world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings.
  • Visit customer sites with both Solutions and Services Sales Teams.
  • Develop value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources to obtain the sale.
  • Attend job take-offs and turnover meetings.
  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.

Benefits

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $24 - $28 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year.
