About The Position

This is a 10-week Building Automation Solutions Sales Internship program at Siemens, focusing on smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure. The program involves rotating through various departments at a local branch office. The goal is to develop future talent for Siemens and help interns identify potential career paths post-graduation. The internship aims to provide hands-on experience, real-world skills, and valuable knowledge while fostering professional development. Interns will work alongside Sales Managers and Sales Executives, assisting with lead generation, prospecting, account outreach, and preparing sales presentations and proposals. They will also help manage CRM data, shadow sales calls, collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze sales performance data, and participate in team meetings. The role also includes participating in sales-related activities such as prospecting, go-to-market strategies, building B2B relationships, and on-the-job training. Interns will rotate through core business segments including Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security, and Energy/Sustainability Systems.

Requirements

  • Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-year U.S. college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing with a strong technical engineering aptitude.
  • Earliest Graduation Date: December 2027
  • Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August).
  • No relocation assistance or housing stipend is provided. Must be willing and able to work at the branch office location and surrounding local area.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship. This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT.

Responsibilities

  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging Siemens world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings.
  • Visit customer sites with both Solutions and Services Sales Teams.
  • Develop value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources to obtain the sale.
  • Attend job take-offs and turnover meetings.
  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.

Benefits
