About The Position

Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain is hiring a part-time Budtender at its R.Greenleaf location in Westside, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Budtender provides exceptional customer service, in-depth product knowledge, and a positive, educational shopping experience. The role calls for enthusiasm for cannabis products, dedication to compliance, and a commitment to encouraging responsible and informed consumption. The position includes customer service and personalized product recommendations, educating customers about product advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods, maintaining an appealing store and organized displays, staying informed about products and regulations, processing sales and cash transactions, and collaborating with teammates and the Management Team. Duties may vary according to business needs. Compensation is $13.00 per hour plus variable tips, with advertised overall earnings of up to $20.01 per hour. Stores operate seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. (hours vary by location); schedules vary with business needs and may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee must obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Food Handler License.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to lift 25 pounds or more multiple times per day.
Must obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Food Handler License.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.
Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products is a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers professionally, listen to their preferences and needs, and provide personalized product recommendations.
Educate customers about cannabis products, including their advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
Keep the store neat and visually appealing and maintain organized product displays.
Stay current on industry trends, product releases, and regulations to provide accurate information.
Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales.
Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, customer-focused work environment.
Support the Management Team with store activities and operations, including customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
