About The Position

Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain is hiring a part-time Budtender for its Everest Cannabis Co location in NE Heights, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Budtender provides exceptional customer service, shares product knowledge, and creates a positive and educational shopping experience. The role supports responsible and informed cannabis consumption through personalized recommendations, education about product effects and safe consumption, and adherence to company policies and state and local regulations. The position also contributes to store presentation and operations by maintaining organized displays, processing cash and point-of-sale transactions, keeping current on product releases and regulations, and collaborating with the Management Team and other team members. Duties and activity percentages may vary according to business needs. Compensation is $13.00 per hour plus variable tips. Store hours vary by location and include nights, weekends, and holidays; the employee's schedule will vary based on business needs. The employee must obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Food Handler License.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to lift 25 pounds or more multiple times per day.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Food Handler License.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers professionally, listen to their preferences and needs, and provide personalized product recommendations.
Educate customers about cannabis product benefits, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
Keep the store neat and appealing, with organized product displays.
Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and changing regulations.
Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales accurately.
Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, customer-focused work environment.
Support the Management Team with store activities, customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
