About The Position

Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor is seeking a dependable, compassionate Dining Room Server with a positive attitude toward customer service and a genuine interest in working with older adults. The role supports residents and guests across all dining venues while contributing to a welcoming, respectful, and service-focused community. The ideal candidate demonstrates teamwork, creativity, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. The server takes food and beverage orders, provides courteous and professional service, maintains dining and work areas, and helps ensure safe and sanitary conditions. The position may also involve seating residents and filling in as a Host/Hostess or Bartender when needed.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.
Must be at least 18 years old to serve liquor.

Nice To Haves

High school education or GED preferred, but not required.
One to three years of experience in dining services, preferably in a fine dining venue.

Responsibilities

Serve customers courteously and professionally, with knowledge of the menu.
Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order.
Take food and beverage orders and serve residents and guests in all dining venues.
Help maintain a high level of customer service for residents and guests.
Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service.
Assist with dishwashing and distribution of clean china when needed.
Maintain safe and sanitary work areas.
Attend scheduled in-service training seminars.
Follow facility and department standards for personal hygiene and uniform guidelines.
Complete assigned cleaning tasks before the end of the shift.
Help seat residents whenever possible.
Fill in as a Host/Hostess or Bartender when needed.
Alert the lead server and/or Dining Room Manager to concerns or problems involving residents or guests.
Coordinate work activities with coworkers to support smooth department operations.
Maintain the work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate the community's hospitality promises toward residents, families, associates, and vendors.
