About The Position

The BT Technical Trainer develops training content for core enterprise technologies, including AI technologies, Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, endpoint tools, and digital workplace solutions. The role delivers engaging instructor-led, virtual, and on-demand learning experiences and partners with Digital Workplace, BT teams, business stakeholders, and BT leadership to identify skill gaps, encourage technology adoption, and prioritize training initiatives in line with business goals. The trainer also contributes to documentation, knowledge management, and continuous improvement of training programs and learning strategies. The position designs and delivers training in person and virtually; develops learning paths and curricula; facilitates sessions for employees across multiple locations; and creates scalable resources such as eLearning modules, videos, job aids, and quick reference guides. It supports technology rollouts, maintains documentation and resource libraries, evaluates training effectiveness, provides onboarding, and collaborates with stakeholders to tailor training to business needs. Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, though work may occur at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. Travel is 20–30%.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 3 years of experience in technical training, IT support, or instructional design in a corporate or enterprise environment.
Ability to deliver training on Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook; Autodesk Vault; CAD-related tools; manufacturing platforms; and emerging AI technologies.
English language proficiency is required.
Ability to travel 20–30%.
Work may be required at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging technical training programs for enterprise technologies, in person and virtually.
Develop structured learning paths and curricula aligned with business needs.
Facilitate instructor-led sessions, workshops, and webinars for employees across multiple locations.
Create scalable training content, including eLearning modules, videos, job aids, and quick reference guides.
Partner with Digital Workplace, BT teams, and L&D to support technology rollouts and adoption initiatives.
Identify knowledge gaps and recommend targeted training to improve user proficiency.
Promote technology best practices that improve productivity and collaboration.
Serve as a subject matter expert for end-user tools and digital workplace technologies, including Office 365, Google Workspace, and AI tools.
Develop and maintain training documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.
Keep training materials current, standardized, and aligned with BT policies and procedures.
Maintain organized libraries of training resources for employee access.
Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and adoption metrics.
Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve training outcomes and delivery methods.
Enhance training strategies in response to evolving technologies and business priorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with BT services.
Engage business leaders to understand training needs and tailor solutions.
Support enterprise communications related to training and technology changes.
Deliver onboarding training on core BT systems and tools for new employees.
Provide mentorship and guidance to peers and internal trainers when applicable.
Model FTI values and professionalism in interactions.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
