About The Position

The Brow & Beauty Expert (BBE) delivers excellent beauty services, drives sales performance, ensures client satisfaction, and maintains a well-organized boutique or brow bar with a cohesive team dynamic. The role contributes to Benefit Cosmetics’ brand image and reputation while providing exceptional client experiences and maximizing business performance. The BBE performs services such as waxing, tinting, and laminations in accordance with Benefit standards, techniques, and State Board guidelines. The role also promotes and sells products, meets service and product sales goals, supports events and client loyalty, and provides personalized client care. In addition, the BBE contributes to a collaborative and inclusive team environment, supports merchandising and action plans, follows company policies and procedures, and keeps the boutique clean, organized, and inviting. The position is based at the Benefit Boutique at 852 W Armitage Ave, Chicago, IL 60614. It requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed. The target pay range is $18.00–$22.13 per hour, with eligibility for sales incentive bonus and/or commission.

Requirements

Maintain compliance with applicable State Board regulations.
Hold and display a valid state-issued aesthetician or cosmetologist license for the work state; the employee is responsible for related fees, additional training, and renewals.
Provide proof of insurance, a current and valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
Be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully complete the E-Verify process.
Be flexible regarding work hours and able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
Demonstrate client focus and customer relationship development skills.
Have operational skills including inventory management, time management, and attention to detail.
Have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Be able to test and apply products to skin, lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk continuously for at least 8 hours, and bend the neck, arms, torso, and legs continuously for at least 8 hours.
Be able to work in a fragrance-filled environment and have physical contact with clients or customers.
Be able to use a computer and MPOS for client transactions.

Responsibilities

Perform Benefit services, including waxing, tinting, laminations, and other services on the service menu, following Benefit standards, techniques, and State Board guidelines.
Promote and sell Benefit products by demonstrating product expertise and making personalized recommendations.
Process client transactions accurately and provide a seamless client experience.
Achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual product and service sales goals.
Drive events and animations to generate business and improve client loyalty.
Provide memorable, personalized client experiences and build strong customer relationships.
Encourage repeat visits and client retention through rebooking and follow-ups.
Address client concerns and issues promptly and professionally.
Foster a collaborative, innovative, engaging, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
Represent Benefit Cosmetics and communicate the brand’s heritage and values through storytelling.
Support the execution of action plans and merchandising guidelines.
Follow Benefit Cosmetics and US Boutiques policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, well-maintained, and visually appealing boutique.
