About The Position

A Brewista serves customers and supports daily coffee-stand operations in line with 7Brew’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. Brewistas report to the stand manager. They take and enter orders, collect payments, prepare drinks and premixes, and create welcoming, positive interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors. They also clean, stock, and complete shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The role requires working with urgency and staying productive throughout each shift, including during slower periods. Brewistas are expected to know the menu well enough to help customers choose the drinks they want, make recommendations when appropriate, arrive ready to work at their assigned position, and treat others with respect and kindness. The position is based in a coffee shop and may require working outdoors for prolonged periods in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Ability to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Ability to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods, regardless of weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Ability to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean the stand.
Ability to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line.
Ability to use a utility knife safely.
Work a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
Follow company procedure for communicating time-off requests.
Regularly work weekends and be available to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and accurately count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and remain productive and proactive throughout the shift.
Build positive personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and open, positive body language.
Know the menu and drink offerings and help customers identify and order desired drinks, offering suggestions and recommendations when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and arrive clocked in and ready to work when the shift begins.
Learn and carry out shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
Clean and stock the stand during each shift.
