About The Position

A Brewista helps deliver 7Brew’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. Brewistas report to the stand manager and serve customers, teammates, and vendors with kindness and respect. They take and enter orders, collect payments, prepare drinks and premixes, and keep the stand clean, stocked, safe, and productive throughout each shift. The role involves making genuine connections with customers, learning the menu well enough to make useful recommendations, and working with urgency and a positive attitude. Brewistas work a flexible schedule for at least three shifts per week. The schedule may include 4-, 5-, or 7-hour shifts, day or night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays when necessary. The physical setting is a coffee shop, and work takes place at one location.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outside for prolonged periods in any weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean the stand.
Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line.
Able to use a utility knife safely.
Available to work a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
Regularly work weekends and be available to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect customer payments and accurately count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and remain productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Learn the menu and drink offerings and help customers identify what they want, including by offering suggestions and recommendations when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and arrive clocked in and ready to work at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Know and complete shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
Clean and stock the stand during each shift.
