About The Position

A Brewista helps carry out 7Brew’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. Brewistas report to the stand manager and create positive interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors. They take and enter orders, collect payments, prepare drinks and premixes, and maintain a clean, stocked, safe work environment. The role requires urgency, productivity throughout each shift, knowledge of the menu, and readiness to perform assigned duties when a shift begins. The position is based at a coffee shop and involves working outdoors for prolonged periods in varying weather. Brewistas work a flexible schedule of at least three shifts per week, with regular weekend work and availability for holidays when necessary. Shifts may be four, five, or seven hours and may include day or night shifts.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outdoors for prolonged periods regardless of weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean the stand.
Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line.
Able to use a utility knife safely.
Able to work a flexible schedule for at least three shifts per week, regularly work weekends, and be available for holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter orders correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payment and accurately count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and remain productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build genuine, positive connections with customers through warm interactions and welcoming body language.
Know the menu and help customers identify suitable drinks by answering questions and making suggestions when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and arrive clocked in and ready to work at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Know and complete shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
