About The Position

Brewistas help carry out the company’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. They report to the stand manager and treat interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors as opportunities to build people up. During each shift, Brewistas prepare drinks and premixes, take orders, serve customers, clean, and stock. The role calls for friendly, genuine customer interactions, knowledge of the menu, and the ability to work with urgency while staying productive throughout the shift. The position is based at a coffee shop. Brewistas work a flexible schedule, with a minimum of three shifts per week. Shifts may be 4, 5, or 7 hours; day, night, weekday, and weekend schedules are listed. Regular weekend work is expected, and holiday availability may be needed. The job is offered as full-time or part-time.

Requirements

Ability to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Ability to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Ability to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean the stand.
Ability to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-thru line.
Ability to use a utility knife safely.
Availability to work a flexible schedule and at least three shifts per week.
Regular weekend availability and availability to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and accurately count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and remain productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Know the menu and drink offerings, help customers identify what they want, and offer suggestions when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and bring a professional, positive attitude to work.
Learn and carry out shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Be clocked in and ready at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation regulations.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
