About The Position

A Brewista helps deliver Brewista’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. Brewistas report to the stand manager and create positive interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors. The role includes taking and entering orders, collecting payments, preparing drinks and premixes, and maintaining a clean, stocked, safe coffee stand. Brewistas are expected to work with urgency, remain productive throughout their shift, know the menu well enough to guide customers, and be ready at their assigned position when their shift begins. The position requires a flexible schedule, at least three shifts per week, regular weekend work, and availability to work holidays when necessary. Work takes place in a coffee shop and includes prolonged periods outdoors in varying weather, standing for hours, and performing physical tasks such as lifting, stocking, and cleaning.

Requirements

Ability to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Ability to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods regardless of weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Ability to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed for stocking and cleaning.
Ability to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line.
Ability to use a utility knife safely.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
Regular weekend availability and availability to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and correctly count back change.
Prepare drinks, premixes, and teas.
Work with urgency and remain productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Know the menu and drink offerings and help customers identify and order the drinks they want, offering suggestions when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and bring a positive attitude to work.
Follow shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores, completing them as needed.
Be clocked in and ready at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
