About The Position

Brewistas execute Brewista’s mission to “Inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience.” Reporting to the stand manager, a Brewista creates positive interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors while preparing drinks, taking orders, preparing premixed flavors and teas, cleaning, and stocking during each shift. The role requires a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week. Brewistas regularly work weekends and must be available to work holidays if necessary. The listed work setting is a coffee shop, with work at one location.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outdoors for prolonged periods in varying weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean.
Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line.
Able to use a utility knife safely.
Able to work a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
Regularly works weekends and is available to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter orders correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payment and correctly count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and stay productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Know the menu and drink offerings and help customers identify their desired drinks by offering suggestions and recommendations when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and bring a positive attitude to work.
Know and complete shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Be clocked in and ready at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
