About The Position

Brewistas help carry out the mission to “Inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience.” Reporting to the stand manager, a Brewista serves customers, teammates, and vendors with kindness and creates positive interactions. The role includes taking and entering orders, collecting payments, preparing drinks and premixes, and keeping the stand clean, stocked, and productive throughout each shift. Brewistas are expected to know the menu, work with urgency, follow shift duties and sanitation standards, and be ready at their assigned position when their shift begins. The position requires a flexible schedule with at least three shifts per week. Brewistas regularly work weekends and must be available for holidays when necessary. Shifts may be 4, 5, or 7 hours and may be day or night shifts. The work takes place in a coffee shop and includes working outside for prolonged periods in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outside for prolonged periods regardless of weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean the stand.
Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-thru line.
Able to use a utility knife safely.
Able to work a flexible schedule for a minimum of three shifts per week.
Follows company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
Regularly works weekends and is available to work holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and accurately count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and stay productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Know the menu and help customers identify and order their desired drinks, offering suggestions when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and bring a professional, positive attitude to work.
Know and complete shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Be clocked in and ready at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
