About The Position

A Brewista is a member of the Brew Crew who helps deliver the company’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. Brewistas report to the stand manager and treat interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors as opportunities to build people up. The role involves making drinks, taking orders and payments, preparing premixed flavors and teas, serving customers, cleaning, and stocking throughout each shift. Brewistas are expected to work with urgency, remain productive throughout their shifts, and create genuine, positive connections with customers. They learn the menu well enough to help customers identify and order the drinks they want, while following shift-change duties, checklists, sanitation standards, and other company procedures. The schedule is flexible, with a minimum of three shifts per week and regular weekend work; holiday availability is required when necessary.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outdoors for prolonged periods in any weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean the stand.
Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-thru line.
Able to use a utility knife safely.
Able to work a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
Regular weekend availability and availability for holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and accurately count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and stay productive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Learn the menu and offerings, and help customers identify and order their desired drinks by providing suggestions when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and arrive clocked in and ready to work at the scheduled start time.
Know and carry out shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Clean and stock the stand during shifts.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
Work at least three shifts per week and regularly work weekends; be available to work holidays when necessary.
