About The Position
We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Restaurant Server to join the team at Arbor Restaurant. Servers are the face of the restaurant and are responsible for customers’ experiences. The role involves preparing the restaurant for service, welcoming guests, helping them navigate the menu, taking and confirming orders, and delivering food and beverages. The successful candidate is quick on their feet, engaging, collaborative, and committed to resolving guest concerns and providing a positive dining experience. Responsibilities
- Prepare the restaurant before each shift for the service ahead.
- Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant.
- Guide guests through the menu with descriptive selling.
- Take orders accurately and confirm special requests.
- Understand menu details to enhance conversations with guests.
- Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff.
- Assist guests with concerns and guide them toward a satisfactory resolution.
- Present bills accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive.
- Present menus and serve food and beverages.
