About The Position
The Breakfast Server at Arbor Restaurant is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience at The Bradley in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role includes preparing the restaurant before service, welcoming guests, guiding them through the menu with descriptive recommendations, accurately taking orders and confirming special requests, and presenting bills promptly and accurately. The server works collaboratively with restaurant, kitchen, and bar staff and helps resolve guest concerns. Requirements
- Have an engaging and welcoming personality.
- Be descriptive and able to sell menu items.
- Have 2–4 years of food service experience.
- Have knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
- Have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the restaurant before the service shift.
- Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant.
- Guide guests through the menu with descriptive selling.
- Take orders accurately and confirm special requests.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the menu to enhance conversations with guests.
- Work collaboratively with restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff.
- Assist guests with concerns and guide them toward a satisfactory resolution.
- Present guest bills in a timely and accurate manner.
