About The Position

The Breakfast Server provides guests with high-quality service in an efficient and courteous manner. The role involves taking food and beverage orders, retrieving and serving food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, collecting payments, and helping keep the service area and equipment clean. The position may require working a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and standing or walking for an entire shift if needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field is a plus.
English fluency required.
Ability to input and access information in computers.
Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness and ability to stand or walk for an entire shift if needed.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Nice To Haves

Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.

Responsibilities

Approach encounters with guests and employees with a smile.
Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant menus and specials.
Check guest identification and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of the service bar, bar tables, stations, and service areas.
Take guest orders quickly and accurately.
Accommodate guest special requests or offer appropriate alternatives.
Check that guests are enjoying their meals and address problems.
Prepare meal checks and collect payments, including using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change, and processing gift cards, room credits, and vouchers.
Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
