Breakfast Server – Latitude - Full-time
About The Position
The Breakfast Server at Latitude, Black Desert Resort’s signature breakfast destination in Southern Utah, delivers a warm, welcoming dining experience during breakfast service. The role includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, and helping ensure an enjoyable meal for every guest in a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. The position also supports pool service during peak seasons. This is an onsite, year-round, full-time position with a morning shift. The stated pay rate is $7.25 per hour plus tips; individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. The position reports to the Latitude General Manager or Food & Beverage Manager.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with POS systems and handling guest transactions.
- Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays based on resort operations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a server in a fine dining or upscale casual restaurant.
- Knowledge of breakfast service, including coffee, tea, and morning cocktails.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and courteous service to guests during breakfast and brunch.
- Greet guests, present menus, and offer recommendations based on dietary preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests and modifications to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, with attention to detail and presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address guest needs or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service areas, and dining spaces.
- Assist with table setups, beverage refills, and delivery of additional items.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to support smooth service.
- Follow health, safety, sanitation, and food-handling requirements.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings about service expectations, daily specials, and operational updates.
- Support pool service during peak seasons.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
