About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant prepares, sets up, and services the breakfast bar while assisting hotel guests efficiently and courteously. The role provides personalized service, keeps food and beverages replenished and appealing, maintains the breakfast and kitchen areas according to DKN Hotels’ standards and health codes, and supports the overall performance of the department and hotel. The attendant works within management-established guidelines and DKN Hotels’ policies and procedures. There is no supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

English-speaking ability or bilingual ability.
Ability to prioritize and organize work and make good judgments.
Dependability.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to reach above, at, and below shoulder level.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds of bulk goods without assistance.
Ability to work with exposure to cleaning agents.

Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Set up the breakfast area.
Prepare breakfast according to operational policies and DKN Hotels’ standards.
Attend to guests’ needs and ensure food and beverages are continually replenished and presented appealingly.
Inventory food items and report supplies that need to be ordered.
Control inventory to prevent loss, waste, and spoilage.
Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and breakfast bar to DKN Hotels’ standards and applicable health codes.
Report missing or found articles and equipment or property damage to the housekeeping supervisor.
Assist other team members and departments to contribute to the overall performance of the department and hotel.
Deliver DKN’s “Home Away From Home” experience and demonstrate DKN Values’ behaviors.
Remain conscious of safety and security.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
