About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant welcomes and assists guests in the breakfast and lobby areas and is responsible for setting up, serving, maintaining, and breaking down the breakfast bar. The role includes preparing specified food items, replenishing food, and serving guests courteously and efficiently in accordance with departmental quality standards and specifications.

The attendant maintains quality and cleanliness standards, follows food-handling, safety, security, and house procedures, assists with scheduled inventories, and follows maintenance and cleaning schedules. The role also involves addressing guest complaints to ensure satisfaction and performing other duties as assigned. The position is at the Fairfield Inn & Suites DuBois in DuBois, Pennsylvania, operated by Shaner Hotels.

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers so they understand.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.
• Food safety certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, greet, and interact with guests in the breakfast and lobby areas.
• Set up, serve, maintain, and break down the breakfast bar line.
• Prepare specified food items, replenish food, and assist in serving food to guests courteously and efficiently according to departmental quality standards and specifications.
• Handle guest complaints and work to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness standards throughout daily assignments.
• Follow house and safety rules, food-handling procedures, and security procedures.
• Assist with inventories as scheduled.
• Follow the maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
