About The Position

Carrier Enterprise is hiring a part-time Branch Sales Associate at its Nashville, Tennessee location. The associate serves as the face of the branch, assisting HVAC/R professionals and contractors with product information, recommendations, orders, and technical questions. The role also supports sales initiatives and warehouse operations, including receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the counter and warehouse clean and organized. Part-time positions are eligible for limited company-sponsored benefits, including participation in the 401(k) plan after applicable eligibility requirements are met, and offer a pathway to full-time employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of customer service experience.
Previous customer-facing experience; HVAC/R industry or related-field experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components.
Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computerized sales and inventory management systems.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and supplies.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in the HVAC/R industry or a related field.
Prior forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide product advice, information, and recommendations for HVAC/R products and supplies.
Process customer orders accurately, confirming availability, pricing, and invoicing.
Maintain knowledge of HVAC/R product inventory, specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
Monitor and replenish floor stock, conduct inventory counts, and report discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
Help customers troubleshoot technical issues involving HVAC/R equipment and components.
Promote sales initiatives and special offers, and identify appropriate opportunities to upsell products.
Support warehouse operations by receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming merchandise.
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and product organization.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks according to company policies and procedures.
Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized counter and warehouse environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
