About The Position

Carrier Enterprise is seeking a part-time Branch Sales Associate at its Knoxville, Tennessee location. The associate serves as a customer-facing representative of the branch, assisting HVAC/R professionals and contractors with product information, recommendations, orders, and technical questions. The role also supports sales, inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, and a safe, organized work environment. Part-time employees are eligible for limited company-sponsored benefits, including participation in the 401(k) plan after meeting applicable eligibility requirements, and may have a pathway to full-time employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of customer service experience.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role; HVAC/R industry or related-field experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components.
Strong customer service, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computerized sales and inventory management systems.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and supplies.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer-facing experience in the HVAC/R industry or a related field.
Prior forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide product advice, information, and recommendations for HVAC/R products and supplies.
Process customer orders accurately, confirming availability, pricing, and invoicing.
Maintain knowledge of HVAC/R product inventory, specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
Monitor and replenish floor stock, perform inventory counts, and report discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
Help customers troubleshoot technical issues involving HVAC/R equipment and components.
Promote sales initiatives and special offers, and identify appropriate upselling opportunities.
Support warehouse operations by receiving, inspecting, and stocking merchandise.
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and product organization.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks according to company policies and procedures.
Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized counter and warehouse.
Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
