About The Position

Carrier Enterprise is seeking a part-time Branch Sales Associate at its Memphis, Texas location. The associate serves as the face of the branch, providing customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors. The role includes helping customers select products, processing orders, supporting sales initiatives, and assisting with warehouse and inventory operations. Part-time employees are eligible for limited company-sponsored benefits, including participation in the 401(k) plan after applicable eligibility requirements are met, and may have a pathway to full-time employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role; HVAC/R industry or related-field experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components.
• Excellent customer service, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computerized sales and inventory management systems.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide product advice, information, and recommendations for HVAC/R products and supplies.
• Process customer orders accurately, confirming product availability, pricing, and invoicing.
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC/R inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
• Monitor and replenish floor stock, conduct inventory counts, and report discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
• Help customers troubleshoot technical issues involving HVAC/R equipment and components.
• Promote sales initiatives and special offers, and identify appropriate opportunities to upsell products.
• Support warehouse operations by receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming merchandise.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and product organization.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Follow safety standards and keep the counter and warehouse clean and organized.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
