About The Position

This position supports sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store and coordinates floorcovering installations through independent contractors for wholesale floorcovering customers. The role assists with identifying installers, scheduling installations, and ensuring work meets expectations. The selected candidate is expected to work at Store #703580, 1 Harkness Blvd Suite 400, Fredericksburg, VA 22405. This is a full-time role with pay starting at $26.28 per hour. Job duties include contact with customers, potentially including minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• For current Sherwin-Williams employees: have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
• For current Sherwin-Williams employees: have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products.
• Prior experience operating floorcovering cutting equipment.
• Previous work experience installing floorcovering.
• Carpet and Vinyl Installation Certification by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store while servicing wholesale customers.
• Assist the Branch Manager in identifying floorcovering installers.
• Establish installation schedules and communicate assignments.
• Perform on-site installation inspections to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Review new and existing floorcovering installer accounts, including contacting outside sources for information.
• Ensure installer transactions are handled properly through the store computer operating system and that records are maintained properly.
• Determine floorcovering installation training needs and require training as appropriate.
