About The Position

This position supports sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store and coordinates all aspects of floorcovering installation through independent contractors to serve wholesale floorcovering customers. The role assists with identifying floorcovering installers, scheduling installations, and ensuring installation work meets expectations. The position is based at Store #702150, 4506 LB McLeod Rd, #A-400, Orlando, FL 32811, and is full-time, with starting pay of $21.15 per hour.

The role involves customer contact, which may include minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuables. Sherwin-Williams has determined that a criminal-history review is necessary to protect the business, its operations and reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without now or later requiring sponsorship for an employment work visa.
• Have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Be willing to work all scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• For internal Sherwin-Williams candidates: have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
• For internal Sherwin-Williams candidates: have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
• Previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products.
• Prior work experience operating floorcovering cutting equipment.
• Previous work experience installing floorcovering.
• Carpet and Vinyl Installation Certification by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store serving wholesale customers.
• Assist the Branch Manager in identifying floorcovering installers.
• Establish installation schedules and communicate assignments.
• Conduct on-site installation inspections to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Review new and existing floorcovering installer accounts, including contacting outside sources for information.
• Ensure installer transactions are handled properly through the store computer operating system and maintain appropriate records.
• Determine floorcovering installation training needs and require training as appropriate.
