About The Position

Capital One is seeking a Branch Ambassador to provide a welcoming, human-centered banking experience in a community branch. The role combines accurate cash handling and regulatory compliance with customer service, relationship-building, and guidance on digital banking. Branch Ambassadors help customers navigate mobile banking, remote deposit capture, contactless payments, and other banking tools, while listening for customer needs and connecting them with relevant solutions. The position is based in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and may require support at nearby branches within a 50-mile radius, with occasional assistance at other regional locations. The role requires flexibility to work a schedule that may include weekends and can change based on business needs. Required training sessions may take place on a schedule different from the regular shift. The work includes lifting up to 25 pounds and standing or moving for extended periods. Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
At least 1 year of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
At least 6 months of cash handling experience.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and adapt to business-driven schedule adjustments.
Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand or move for extended periods.
Regular and consistent attendance.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree.
2 or more years of retail or customer-facing experience.
Proficiency in G-Suite.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Process high-volume cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and negotiable instruments, accurately.
Follow security, audit, BSA/AML, and federal regulatory requirements to protect customer assets.
Teach customers to use mobile banking, remote deposit capture, contactless payments, and other digital tools.
Listen to customers, identify personal or business goals, and connect them with suitable digital tools or banking solutions.
Welcome and assist customers throughout the branch, balancing operational efficiency with attentive hospitality.
Support nearby branches within a 50-mile radius and occasionally assist other locations in the broader region.
Attend required training sessions, which may be scheduled differently from the primary shift.
