About The Position

Carvana is hiring a Brake and Tire Technician to perform light maintenance and repairs at a vehicle reconditioning center. The role includes routine inspections and maintenance, brake work, tire installation, and wheel alignments. Technicians use tools and equipment in a high-tech inspection center. Entry-level training programs are available to help employees develop their skills and advance their pay.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive repair experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes in excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Must use safety equipment that may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs, including brake pad, caliper, and rotor work.
• Install tires and perform wheel alignments.
• Operate vehicle equipment and tools while following applicable safety practices.
