About The Position

Carvana is hiring a Brake and Tire Technician to perform light maintenance and repairs at a vehicle reconditioning center. The work includes routine inspections and maintenance, brake repairs involving pads, calipers, and rotors, tire installation, and wheel alignments. Technicians use tools in a high-tech inspection center. Entry-level employees may receive training to help their skills and pay progress. The role is scheduled for Shift 2, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and independently lift up to 60 pounds.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
Perform basic brake repairs, including work on brake pads, calipers, and rotors.
Install tires and perform wheel alignments.
Use tools and vehicle equipment to carry out maintenance and repairs.
