BOSS Fulfillment Associate - Full Time
About The Position
The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Associate helps improve the shopping experience by using inventory from retail locations to fulfill customer orders. The role requires familiarity with products sold and involves receiving, inspecting, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores. Merchandise must be handled carefully to maintain its quality and appearance. The associate works across back-room fulfillment functions as needed and may assist customers on the sales floor during store hours. The role operates under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Able to operate receiving equipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise in suitable packaging for shipment.
- Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack orders in appropriate containers or cartons; apply designated labels and inspect product quality and presentation.
- Fill retail and direct customer orders by matching merchandise to orders and pulling products from designated stock locations.
- Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
- Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job skills training.
- Assist customers with finding merchandise and making purchasing decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
- Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
- Process orders through to properly closing them in the BOSS system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
