BOSS Fulfillment Associate - Seasonal
About The Position
The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Associate helps improve the customer shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations to fulfill orders. The role involves receiving and inspecting merchandise; filling, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores; and handling products to preserve their quality and appearance. Associates may spend most of their time in one back-room function but should be able to perform multiple area functions as needed. During store hours, the role may also include helping customers find merchandise and make buying decisions.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- Ability to follow through on order processing and properly close orders in the BOSS system.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Able to operate receiving equipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise in appropriate packaging for shipment.
- Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it in suitable containers, cartons, or packaging; apply designated labels and inspect products for quality and presentation.
- Fill retail and direct customer orders by matching merchandise to order details and pulling items from designated stock locations.
- Move merchandise among warehouse locations with authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
- Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
- Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
- Communicate issues affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supply needs.
- Follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
