About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) process uses inventory across retail locations to help customers find products regardless of where they shop. The BOSS Fulfillment Outfitter is responsible for fulfilling BOSS orders and handling merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores. Work includes receiving and inspecting merchandise, sorting, picking, packing, and loading orders, while maintaining the quality and appearance of products. The position may spend most of its time in one back-room function but requires knowledge and experience to work across multiple areas as needed. The role may also include assisting customers on the sales floor during store hours. This is a seasonal position at the Bass Pro Shops location in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The role works under general supervision and follows established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate receiving equipment.
• Ability to repeatedly perform motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally work in tight or confined spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments, and to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
• Ability to move and lift objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise; fill orders; sort and pack merchandise in suitable packaging for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and package it using appropriate containers, cartons, or other packaging; apply designated labels and inspect products for quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct customer orders by matching merchandise to orders and pulling products from designated stock locations.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work procedures.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stock items, on-hand counts, and supply needs.
• Follow order processing through to properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
