About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter supports the customer shopping experience by fulfilling online orders from inventory across retail locations. The role requires familiarity with products sold and involves filling BOSS orders, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores. Merchandise must be handled in a way that maintains its quality and appearance.

The position performs a variety of back-room retail functions, including receiving and inspecting merchandise, filling orders, and preparing shipments. The employee may spend most of their time in one functional area but should be prepared to work across multiple areas as needed. During store hours, the role may also assist customers on the sales floor. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices. This is a seasonal, part-time position.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Follow order processing through to properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.
• Able to constantly stand and/or walk during the shift and repeatedly perform motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Able to occasionally use ladders, stairs, or ramps; communicate with others; operate machinery and/or power tools; work in confined spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
• Able to constantly move and lift objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more with a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, sort, pick, and pack merchandise for retail and direct customer orders.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and package it using appropriate containers, cartons, and packaging for shipment.
• Apply designated labels and visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
• Match merchandise to order details, pull items from designated stock locations, and place them in proper containers.
• Move merchandise between warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work-environment procedures.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety training, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, inventory counts, and supplies.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
