About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) process uses inventory across retail locations to help customers find products wherever they shop. The BOSS Fulfillment Outfitter must be familiar with products sold and fills BOSS orders, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores as needed. The role ensures merchandise is handled to maintain its quality and appearance for customers. Duties take place primarily in the retail store's back room, with the employee able to work across multiple functional areas as needed. The role may also involve assisting customers on the sales floor during store hours. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow order processing through to properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for extended periods and constantly stand and/or walk during a shift.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise; fill orders; and sort and pack merchandise in appropriate containers or cartons for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and package it using suitable containers, cartons, or other packaging.
• Apply designated labels and visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct customer orders by inspecting merchandise and matching it to orders; pull products from designated stock locations and place them in appropriate containers.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store open hours.
• Communicate issues or needs that affect basic job functions, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
