About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter supports the store’s fulfillment process, helping improve the customer shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations. The role fills BOSS orders and handles merchandise sorting, picking, packing, and loading for shipment to direct customers and retail stores. Merchandise must be handled in a way that maintains its quality and presentation. The position also assists customers on the sales floor during store hours and communicates issues affecting order execution. This is a seasonal position.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow orders through processing and properly close orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate receiving equipment.
• Ability to constantly stand and/or walk during a shift and repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; communicate with others; operate machinery and/or power tools; work in tight or confined spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
• Ability to move and lift objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise in suitable packaging for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it using appropriate containers or cartons; apply designated labels and visually inspect product quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct customer orders by inspecting and matching products to orders, pulling merchandise from designated stock locations, and placing it in proper containers.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work procedures.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions while working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, such as short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
