About The Position
Egglefield Ford, a 116‑year family‑owned dealership, is seeking a Body Shop Manager with strong hands‑on experience in collision repair. This role is ideal for a seasoned body technician who understands the workflow, takes pride in quality repairs, and is ready to move into a leadership position. The Body Shop Manager oversees all daily operations of the collision center, including repair workflow, estimating, insurance communication, quality control, and team leadership. This role requires technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to guide technicians while maintaining high repair standards.
Requirements
- Strong background as a body technician or collision repair specialist
- Proficiency with estimating systems
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership or team‑lead experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate repair workflow from intake to completion
- Write accurate estimates and communicate with insurance companies
- Oversee quality control and ensure repairs meet OEM standards
- Lead, support, and develop body shop technicians
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair status and expectations
- Monitor parts ordering, timelines, and job profitability
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry best practices
