About The Position

Ray Laethem Buick GMC is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Body Shop Manager to lead its collision repair department. The role oversees daily body shop operations and supports efficient, profitable performance. The manager leads the shop team, monitors workflow and repair quality, coordinates estimates and parts, maintains relationships with insurance companies and customers, and fosters a productive, customer-focused work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing a collision repair or automotive body shop is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, estimating, and insurance claims.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workflow, meet deadlines, and achieve financial production goals.
• Familiarity with estimating and shop management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the body shop and ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage, lead, and motivate technicians, painters, estimators, and support staff.
• Monitor production schedules, repair quality, cycle time, and overall shop performance.
• Manage estimates, repair orders, parts coordination, and insurance company relationships.
• Maintain excellent communication with customers, insurance adjusters, service advisors, and dealership management.
• Develop and maintain a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
