About The Position
The Blast Loader Operator is responsible for placing stacks of filled product racks into the blast tunnel. The primary task is to grasp a wheeled stack of product racks staged outside the blast tunnel entrance, pull or push it while walking, position it in one of the tunnel’s three lanes, align the wheels with the floor tracks, and push it onto the tracks and blast tunnel chain. The operator then releases the racks so the chain can pull them through the tunnel. Other duties include helping remove rack spills in the blast tunnel and picking up fallen product for processing according to procedure.
Requirements
- At least six months of relevant Operator experience with a single employer within the last 12 months.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Move stacks of filled product racks from the staging area to the blast tunnel.
- Position stacks in one of the three blast tunnel lanes, aligning the wheels with the floor tracks.
- Push stacks onto the tracks and blast tunnel chain, then release them for the chain to carry through the tunnel.
- Assist with removing rack spills in the blast tunnel as needed.
- Pick up product that falls out of a rack and process it according to procedure.
