About The Position

Serve food and/or beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. The role may include preparing food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, and performing other food-and-beverage functions such as bartending and bussing when needed. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The position requires extended periods of standing and walking, as well as pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.

Requirements

Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up necessary supplies, food, and beverages at the beginning of the shift and keep the work area stocked.
Take customer orders, enter orders, collect payment, and provide change.
Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcoholic beverages, when necessary.
Prepare cooking ingredients, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, when necessary.
Perform other food-and-beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods.
Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank according to established policies.
Clean equipment and work areas and lock equipment doors as required.
Comply with state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
