About The Position
Serve food and/or beverages to guests courteously and in a friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. The role includes preparing and maintaining the work area, taking and processing customer orders and payments, communicating dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen, and preparing food and beverages as needed. The server may also perform other food-and-beverage duties during staffing shortages or peak periods. The position requires following cash-handling, equipment-cleaning, alcohol-service, workplace-safety, and sustainability procedures, while ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Work schedules vary and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, as well as pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
Requirements
- Previous food-and-beverage experience or equivalent training is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, and reach.
- Work schedule may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.

Responsibilities
- Set up necessary supplies, food, and beverages at the beginning of the shift and keep the work area stocked.
- Take customer orders, enter orders, collect payment, and provide change.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcoholic beverages, when necessary.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, when necessary.
- Perform other food-and-beverage duties, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods.
- Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank according to established policies.
- Clean equipment and work areas, including locking equipment doors.
- Follow state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
