About The Position
Serve food and/or beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner while following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. The role includes setting up and maintaining supplies, taking and processing orders and payments, communicating dietary needs to the kitchen, and preparing food and beverages as needed. Servers may assist with bartending or bussing during staffing shortages or peak periods, complete cashiering and end-of-shift bank procedures, maintain clean and secure work areas, follow alcohol-service and workplace safety requirements, and support guest satisfaction and HHM’s EarthView sustainability practices. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The position requires extended periods of standing and walking, as well as pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
Requirements
- Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training required.
- Ability to perform work involving extended standing and walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
- Availability for a varying work schedule that may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up necessary supplies, food, and beverages at the beginning of the shift and keep the work area stocked.
- Take customer orders, enter orders, collect payment, and provide change.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcoholic beverages, when necessary.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, when necessary.
- Perform other food and beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods.
- Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, submit receipts, and secure the bank according to established policies.
- Clean equipment and work areas and secure equipment as required.
- Follow state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
