About The Position
Serve food and/or beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. The role includes preparing and maintaining the work area, taking and processing customer orders and payments, coordinating dietary needs and special requests with the kitchen, and preparing food and beverages as needed. The server may perform other food and beverage duties during staffing shortages or peak periods, complete end-of-shift cashiering and security procedures, maintain clean equipment and work areas, comply with alcohol-service and workplace-safety requirements, and help ensure guest satisfaction. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
Requirements
- Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Schedule may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, and reach.

Responsibilities
- Set up necessary supplies, food, and beverages at the beginning of the shift and keep the work area stocked.
- Take customer orders, enter orders, accept payment, and provide change.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcoholic beverages, when necessary.
- Prepare cooking ingredients, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, when necessary.
- Perform other food and beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods.
- Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank according to established policies.
- Clean equipment and work areas and lock equipment doors as applicable.
- Follow state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
