About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Biomedical Services Specialist to keep dialysis equipment operating in its clinics. The role supports life-giving dialysis treatments and involves repairing and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment. The position is based in the Erie, Pennsylvania area and requires travel between clinics, typically using the technician’s own automobile. Technicians should live close enough to their supported clinics to provide emergency response coverage. The role includes participating in occasional on-call rotations to meet clinic and patient needs at night, on weekends, and during early morning hours. DaVita provides training on its internal applications and paid training.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Skilled electro-mechanical equipment technician experience, or a demonstrated aptitude for this work.
Strong communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including internet navigation and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Valid driver's license in the state where applying, valid automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
Availability to participate in on-call rotations.
Reside fairly close to the clinics supported by the technician.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a trade school or college biomedical or electronics technology program.
Prior experience performing electro-mechanical equipment technician work.

Responsibilities

Keep dialysis equipment in DaVita clinics up and running.
Repair and support electro-mechanical equipment.
