Billing Revenue Manager

About The Position

Hoxton Circle is seeking a consulting/interim Revenue Billing Manager for a long-established client in the Bay Area. The temporary assignment is for up to six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance. Medical benefits and sick pay are available during the contracted assignment. The manager will oversee revenue billing and accounting activities, including revenue recognition, deal-desk contract reviews, month-end close support, forecasting, operating procedures, audits, team development, and revenue reporting. The role may also involve other ad hoc projects.

Requirements

Working experience with ASC 606.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Three or more years of experience with digital advertising and/or ad tech.

Nice To Haves

Public company experience.
Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems such as NetSuite.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper accounting treatment of revenue and costs in accordance with company policies, including ASC 606 and ASC 340.
Own the Deal Desk process and review sales contracts for billing and revenue recognition purposes.
Facilitate month-end close by creating journal entries and preparing reconciliations for related accounts.
Collaborate internally and externally on revenue and margin forecasts versus actuals and resolve discrepancies.
Establish and improve operating procedures for new customers, credit limits, credit memos, write-offs, and discount policies.
Participate in external audits by assisting with auditor requests.
Develop and mentor team members on career paths.
Provide standardized revenue reporting.
Complete other ad hoc projects as assigned.
